It was only a matter of time until Zeiss added a new lens to the Otus family: and today the company is announcing their 85mm f1.4 Otus lens.
上のイメージの左側が、Otus 1.4/85。ボディはN社のFXボディにようですが(^^;、その外観を見ているだけでずっしりとした重さが伝わってくるようですね。
そして価格は米ドル$4,490！ということです。
日本でも50万円以下で発売されることになるのでしょうか？

sonyalpharumorsは“世界最高レンズ”、CanonRumorsは“ワールドクラスレンズ”という表現を使っています。勿論35mmフォーマットの中でという意味だとは思いますが、これまでOtus 1,5/55がその称号を持っていた（ような雰囲気）ですので、それを明け渡すことになるのでしょうか？（そもそも焦点距離が違いますが）
