- “X”という名称はキヤノンにとって幾つかの意味を持つ。
- 最も重要なのは10番目のEOSカメラということ。キヤノンは歴代EOSブランドの10番目の最も重要なモデルを祝福したいと思っている。
- 次に重要なのが、例えばEOS 1DXの場合1Dボディの統合を意味していた、Canon EOS 5DXの場合も5Dと7Dボディの“交わり” /“融合”であり、フルサイズ、AFと中間的な連写速度などが融合する。
ということでkuaddroによれば7D mark IIは無く、5DXに統合されるということ、また、フルサイズ高画素機のEOS 3Dの登場も予測してます。
もし本当なら、EOS 5D Xと、60D（あるいはその後継）との価格差が大きくなりそうなので、この間を埋めるモデルも欲しいところですね。
