このレンズは、既にディスコンとなっている旧D FA 100mm MacroレンズをWR化し防塵防滴なK-7との相性を高めたものと思われますが、一部の噂のようにフルサイズ一眼レフの発表も視野に入っているのでしょうか？
身売りなどが取りざたされているペンタックスですが、645Dも含めて開発の方はかなりハードな仕事をされているようですね！
ペンタックスは、交換レンズ「D FA MACRO 100mm F2.8 WR」を12月下旬に発売する。価格はオープンプライス。店頭予想価格は6万円台前半の見込み。当初月産数量は1,000本。

レンズ構成、最短距離、フィルター径が同一、重量は5gの差しか無いようですから、やはりWR化が基本なのでしょうね。

Pentax has launched a weather resistant 100mm F2.8 Macro lens. The lens, which is designed to work with both digital and film SLRs, features weather-resistant construction to match the company’s environmentally-sealed K-7 mid-level DSLR. It also features an aluminium body in the style of the company’s ‘Limited’ prime lenses and offers full-time manual focus override.
The Pentax D FA MACRO 100mm f/2.8 WR lens features a weather-resistant construction, which works hand-in-hand with weather resistant DSLRs like the Pentax K-7.
PENTAX WR lenses feature simplified weather-resistant construction to repel water and moisture. Combined with a PENTAX weather-resistant K-7, K20D, K200D or K10D digital SLR camera body, the lens performs well in damp, inclement outdoor conditions including rain, mist, water spray and splashes.
